About us

Twelve Pines Stable is a training and teaching facility, focused on the Quarter Horse industry. We specialize in successfully putting youths and amateurs together in the show ring.

Our goal is to create riders that are competent, competitive and confident to reach their goals, whether it is a pastime or a future career. We can find for you your starter horse or your next world qualifer in an atmosphere that is both enjoyable, challenging and encouraging.

Started in 1980 for our personal use, by 1985 we were teaching the Ohio University equistrian classes and the next year we founded the OU equistrian team, competing against 17 schools including Michigan, OSU, Miami University, Lake Erie College and Findlay college. The region grew and split many times during our 15 years of coaching and we won many regional and national titles.  While coaching OU we continued to promote our own horses through AQHA. In 1999 TPS gave up the OU affiliation to concentrate on pursing more competitive riding and breeding.

Some of out personal accomplishments are:
• Top Ten Congress
• Year End Awards throughout 8 years in Ohio
• Top 20 AQHYA World Championship Show
• Top 10 Appaloosa World Championship Show
• Mulitple circuit champion awards in Ohio, Pennsyvania, Indiana, Kentucky and Florida.
• Multiple AAYHS championships.
